Randy Patterson, a dedicated cattleman from Anthony, Kansas, began his lifelong career in the cattle industry at just 23 years old. Over the decades, he has owned numerous sale barns and established himself as a prominent buyer for various outfits across the country. His passion for agriculture and livestock runs deep, and today, he remains actively involved in the cattle business.
In 1985, Randy expanded his agricultural ventures into the world of Thoroughbred horse racing, where he quickly became a dominant force. His success in the racing world has earned him respect as a seasoned horseman. In 2013, he took another step forward by purchasing Cedar Run Farm, located in Pearcy, Arkansas, which is now managed by his daughter, Sara Patterson. Cedar Run Farm is home to around 100 horses, and during foaling season, from January through April, it welcomes another 50 foals into the herd.
When Randy isn’t immersed in his cattle or Thoroughbred operations, you can often find him enjoying his Arkansas home, making his daily drive to the farm to feed the fish and check on the horses.
With a deep love for agriculture and animal care, Randy has partnered with his daughter Sara to help run S & T Farm Supply, where they provide high-quality farm supplies and expert knowledge to the Hot Springs, Arkansas community.
